HSA Springfield K-2 students got a visit from The Toledo Zoo on Thursday, November 21. The zoo representative spent his time at school educating students on animal-related topics. Among other things, the students discussed animal habitats, including: oceans, grasslands and tropical rain forests. Students got learn about animals by touching pelts, looking at models of different habitats and studying animal shells. The highlight of the event for many students was meeting Bernard, the desert lizard who calls The Toledo Zoo home.
