On February 28, 2015, Horizon Springfield teamed up with Horizon Toledo to offer a Father/Daughter dance to their 7th & 8th grade girls. The dance was held at Horizon Toledo and all guests were treated to a wonderful spaghetti dinner from the Reynolds Garden Cafe. This was a free event- asking only that guests bring items to donate to the Cherry Street Mission- a homeless shelter in downtown Toledo. With the help of our fathers and daughters, 3 boxes of items were collected! Jim Stanbery, a representative from the Mission who joined us at the event, thanked all who donated and shared his appreciation of our help. Mr. Albert Earl also joined us. As a community youth advocate, he shared with us the importance of being their for our daughters and young women. It was a wonderful evening full of food, dancing and laughter. We look forward to making this a yearly tradition.
