4-Day Hybrid for ALL Students Available Beginning April 19th

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I am pleased to see the positive progress we have made as a Northwest Ohio community to reduce COVID-19 positivity rates. Because the spread of this virus has reduced significantly in recent weeks, we are now able to offer even more face-to-face instructional time for our students.

Starting April 19th, we will offer 4-day a week face-to-face as an option for all students.

We will continue to provide remote-only instruction on Wednesdays as this on this day we do a full, whole-building sanitization – which is critical to ensuring that we do not see an increase in COVID-19 spread.

Please note, to facilitate the addition of additional students into the classroom, we will reduce distancing between students from 6 -feet to 3-feet. This is in alignment with the updated CDC guidelines and has been deemed a safe step by the local health department. Students will remain self-contained and masked to further ensure their safety.

Just as when this pandemic started, we want to prioritize families being able to make the best choices for them. We know that each family has unique circumstances, and we want to enable you to make the best choices for your family.

As a result, we would like you to select between three options:

  1. Full-Remote Instruction – Your student(s) will complete all work remotely and will not report to the building at all.

  2. 2-day Hybrid Instruction – Your student(s) will complete work remotely 3 days a week and will report to the building 2 days a week (either Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday)

  3. 4-day Hybrid Instruction – Your student(s) will report to the building 4-days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) and complete work remotely on Wednesdays.

Later this week, I will reach out to the parents of all students in grades 4-8 (as you are the most impacted by this schedule modification) and inquire as to which of the above mentioned options you would like to select for your child.

As always, should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
