HSAS Home Visit Program

Here at HSAS we recognize the connection between a child’s home life and their academic performance.  Because of this, we are very interested in visiting our parents' home.  As educators, we can learnt a great deal about our students by seeing them in their natural element.

The more we know about students, the more we were able to help them.

PROFESSIONAL relationships developed between families and teachers.

TRUST established between community and the school. Home visits improved the communication between the family and the school.

HOPE rekindled for student and school site success. We were able to clarify our educational goals and motivate the parents and students to share our hopes to become an excellent rated school.

VISITS provided opportunity for teachers to step into the community. The more we learnt about their daily life the more we were able to adjust our learning settings according to their needs.

PARTICIPATION in visits were voluntary for parents and teachers were required to make for visits per year. Visits are designed to open lines of communication, not for assessments or interventions.

Out of our staff, we recognize the following distinguished teachers for their efforts in Horizon Science Acedemy Home Visit Program:

Mr. Arslan and Mr. Ferrell visited 36 students.

Mr. Celik visited 87 students.

Mr. Tan visited 53 students.
