HSAS Helps Community
Dear HSAS Community Member,
It is now time to say goodbye to the brisk, sunny days of fall. With the season change, it is important to stress to your student the importance of proper dress. Attendance is important at HSAS and we don’t want your student to miss out due to illness. We do receive a few donations for coats. Please contact the school office for assistance.
With winter comes the holiday season. HSAS understands that this season can sometimes be the hardest. If there is something your student may need, please contact Ms. Weiser or the school office. HSAS and our Community Club will do our best to help.
This is also a season of giving. We are a community here at HSAS and we work hard to stress that to our students. This November, HSAS Community Club sponsored a canned food drive that helped to feed the less fortunate. HSAS families donated over 700 lbs. of food! That was double what we collected last year. Thank you to all HSAS families who showed their support and made a contribution. A special congratulations to Ms. Benner’s academic assist class for bringing in over 180 lbs all by themselves! HSAS donated all goods to the Kitchen of the Poor.
The end of the 2nd quarter is fast approaching and the winter break may be the perfect time to have your student catch up on any missing work or do some extra credit. If you think your child may need work over the break, please contact any of our teachers. Student success is our goal, and with your help, we can achieve it.
On behalf of HSAS faculty and staff, may your family and our students have a wonderful and safe holiday season.
