Horizon Springfield staff & cross country runners, along with a select group of high school students from Horizon Toledo, participated in a stair climb today in honor of the first responders on September 11, 2001. Students and staff climbed 110 flights of stairs to simulate the number of stairs that rescuers climbed in the World Trade Center that day. They were featured on both Channel 13 and 24 news! Also in honor of this special day, grades K-2 made cards and colored pictures for our local police and firefighters. A handful of students delivered them, along with lifesavers, to fire stations 4, 11, 14 and the Scott Park Police Station. Thank you for your service!
